Yuta
About the Design
Yuta originated as one of our very own hand-woven fabrics. This particular weave structure is referred to as double cloth and uses two or more sets of warps (threads running vertically) to interconnect and form a two-layered cloth. "Floats", or loosely woven weft threads give the appearance of organic stripes nestled freely alongside plain weave.
The soft, slightly muted color combinations within this collection pay homage to the intricate basketry work specific to the regions of Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. "Yuta", refers to an abstract twist on Utah.
