Hand-Dyed Rust Table Runner

The Tie-Up Textiles rust dyed series is a signature part of our collection. The patterns shown are the result of the orange and gold tones found within corrosion, transferred onto the face of the fabric. When iron and steel objects come into direct contact with the fibers, they leave behind vivid and detailed, permanent impressions. The rust process begins by presoaking the cloth in our proprietary solution. The textile is then wrapped around the metal object and added to a tightly sealed container. After several hours, oxidation and moisture cure the color and impressions within the fibers.
