The Details
Each of our wovens have been drafted and masterfully fabricated on a floor loom within our Pennsylvania studio. The process begins by choosing a color palette and yarn, and calculating the quantities needed to complete the pattern. From there, we create a warp (threads running vertically throughout the yardage) with either planned stripes or more of an organic color shift. The yarn warp is then dressed onto the loom, specific to the chosen pattern. Once dressed and tension is pulled tight, weaving can begin. Finally, the weft yarn (threads running horizontally throughout the yardage) is selected and the magic of this handmade process is revealed.
